Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Heather began her nursing career after graduating from Rutgers University College of Nursing in 1994. She initially specialized as a pediatric nurse, working in adolescent care and cardiac intensive care at several children’s hospitals. She went on to earn her Master’s degree as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Rutgers University College of Nursing in January 1999 and began practicing in pediatric primary care, where she spent 12 years caring for children across all stages of development.
In 2011, Heather transitioned into pediatric neurology, where she continues to practice today. She has extensive experience evaluating and managing both acute and chronic neurological conditions in children, including ADHD, headaches, autism, developmental delays, and epilepsy. Her clinical approach emphasizes preventive care, developmental monitoring, family education, and close collaboration with other specialists to ensure comprehensive, individualized treatment plans.
Heather is committed to family-centered care and is known for building strong, trusting relationships with patients and their families. She is a member of the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Outside of work, Heather is the mother of three teenage daughters. She enjoys reading, spending time at the beach, and hiking with her dog.
