Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Child-Centered Play Therapist

Avrohom Blesofsky, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker at the New Jersey Pediatric Neuroscience Institute, specializing in Child-Centered Play Therapy for children and adolescents. He holds a master’s degree in social work from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University and is trained in the classical CCPT lineage stemming from Dr. Garry Landreth, Dr. Jennifer Baggerly, and Dr. Brenna Hicks.

Avrohom’s clinical experience spans school-based therapy, outpatient settings, and community mental health programs, where he has supported children with anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, behavioral concerns, and trauma-related needs. He collaborates closely with parents, educators, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure each child receives consistent, individualized care.

With over two decades of experience working with children and families — including his long-standing role as an ordained rabbi — Avrohom brings warmth, empathy, and a deep respect for each child’s unique strengths. His therapeutic approach focuses on emotional expression, self-regulation, confidence-building, and strengthening parent–child relationships.

Avrohom’s goal is to provide an accepting, supportive environment where children can grow, heal, and thrive, while empowering families with the tools and understanding they need to support their child’s development.
